Atlanta Gas Light recently hosted more than 100 students interested in learning more about exciting careers in the energy sector during an interactive program at its service center in Riverdale, Georgia. The event provided engaging learning opportunities, including advanced technology demonstrations aimed at inspiring students to live more sustainably.
Themed “Careers in Energy: An Atlanta Gas Light Experience,” the program welcomed students from Clayton County Public Schools and Atlanta Public Schools whose courses focused on CTAE (Career, Technical, and Agricultural Education) and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) pathways.
The program featured a panel forum with Atlanta Gas Light team members, who shared their expertise and insights in operations and maintenance, customer experience, technology, sustainability, and human resources. The groups also toured “Gas Town” – the company’s state-of-the-art technical training center.
The experience was an incredible opportunity for students and their teachers to gain insights into the energy industry. At Atlanta Gas Light, we are dedicated to inspiring students who are interested in pursuing careers in the energy sector throughout the year. We are excited to collaborate with our community to introduce these programs and provide students with interactive educational experiences across the communities we serve.
