AGL Resources, Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta Team Up for

October 1, 2003


WHO: Paula G. Rosput, president, chairman and chief executive officer of AGL Resources (AGLR), parent company of Atlanta Gas Light Company, and Jack Guynn, president and chief executive officer of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, will work side by side to make improvements at a shelter for homeless families in West End. Working with them will be approximately 50 volunteers from AGLR's V-Force and the Federal Reserve Bank.

WHAT: Improvements on the House of Love for Families, a 1929 structure, will include creating a playground, garden and picnic area, weatherizing the basement and installing a walkway.

WHEN: Hands On Atlanta Day, Saturday, Oct. 4, 2003, from 9 a.m. until noon.

WHERE: 627 Holderness Street, Atlanta.

WHY: AGLR and the Federal Reserve Bank are Midtown neighbors who are both active with Hands On Atlanta and the Metropolitan Atlanta Corporate Volunteer Council. This is the first time they have teamed up for a volunteer project.

DIRECTIONS: From downtown Atlanta, take I-20 West to Exit 55A, Ashby Street. Turn left on Joseph Lowery Boulevard toward West End. Turn right on Ralph David Abernathy Boulevard. Look for a McDonalds on the left. Holderness Street will be just beyond on the left. 627 Holderness St. is on the right.
